Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!!!

For this entry I’m covering my group’s class and group 4 class, so lets get into it.

I have to say preparing this class was way easier as we already had a bit of experience from our previous class, although this time we had to change our main focus. For this occasion, our class had to be mainly focused on the listening aspect which actually made it a bit hard to prepare different segments of the class. I have to say when the day finally came, I did feel a little bit unmotivated to teach the class as there were barely any students in the classroom, but I’m thankful for Gustavo and Diana for being volunteers and participating in our class.

First Josh gave the students a review of how the simple past should be used and how it structure was just to refresh them a little bit on the topic. Then it was Jonathan’s turn to continue, even him being sick did not stop him for doing an amazing job; he showed the students some images and related them with vocabulary so the students could learn new words.

Then it was Brenda’s turn, she provided a worksheet to the students, in this they had to answer some questions about an audio they listened and even though we had some technical issues we overcame it and the students were able to select and write down the correct option.

Then it was my turn, I had prepared an activity where students would get in pairs and talk about their daily routine while on their birthday and also on Christmas, one of the students would talk and the other would listen to it, I got a bit confused due to the slides but still I think I managed it pretty well, overall I feel like I was way more comfortable than before although I still would have preferred way more students in the classroom.

To finish the class, Josh did a really dynamic activity where they had to say one activity and the other person had to memorize and say another activity and from left to right all students repeated all the actions and added an extra activity which help them to learn the structure in first and third person.

I think we did a really nice job even with all the circumstances we went through!

Then it was the turn of Jessica’s group, they started with a hot potato game where teachers asked students about what they do in a daily basis, making use of Spanish for students to be more conscious of the upcoming topic. They recalled the grammar structure for simple present followed by the vocabulary of the daily routine. Teachers played a video and students repeated the sentences said and showed in the video. One of the other activities was to mark True or False on paper   reading a story, next, they wrote their daily routine and described it with other classmates. Finally, they asked students what they learned in the class and say one new word for them.

Well that would be all for this entry, hope to see u soon on my next entry!!
